Hi!

Okay, so I am super lame with updating my blog… I know. BUT, I do have excuses (like the huge trip that my parents went on to help my grandma move from Virginia to Texas right in the middle of December…). And if those don’t work, I can just make up more =)

I just thought I’d hop on here real quick, and wish you all MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE! I hope you all have fun with your families today and tomorrow. I’m excited to see my dad’s family tomorrow, because I have some wicked adorable cousins who I really want to see. My parents and I might watch White Christmas (I love that movie!) tonight, and I’m absolutely giddy with excitement about the Doctor Who Christmas Special tomorrow night. Time to break out the holiday geek-wear… Right after I go out and buy some. I guess I just need the 11th Doctor’s sonic screwdriver…. Hmm, maybe I’ll get it for Christmas! Oh! Sorry, rambling. (oh, I guess my blog’s name is a little too close to the truth)

Well, I hope you all take a bit to think about why Christmas is so important. My favorite parts of Christmas are those quiet little moments between all the fun events and presents. I love remembering why we celebrate, and I truly love my Savior, and this time of year is so special.

I’m not in Kansas anymore…

… but I was, a little over a week ago!

We went to go visit my great-grandma in Wichita. My grandma came with us, and boy, did we have fun!

My grandma’s favorite brother was there, so there was much silliness that ensued.

(I’m making a semi-weird face because of cutie baby, Ben, yanking on my hair. But I didn’t want to be half-way through a pained expression when the camera flashed. So I maintained my smile. Even though it hurt. But he was adorable, so I didn’t really care. Yay, cute babies!)

One of my favorite parts of the whole trip was when I got to hang out with my 3-month old 2nd cousin, Abigail. It was on the first evening, and she was DELIGHTFUL! I adore her, and she’s SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOooooooooooo cute… Maybe I need some more ‘O’s, to properly explain the cuteness. Or, better yet, PICTURES!

Visiting the Grand-Parental Units (part 2- The Flight)

Hola!

So, I am lame.

I really did mean to post this Tuesday morning, but I had an orthodontic appointment. Then shopping. Then lunch with my dad. Then a dental cleaning. Then I went to my BFF’s house. Then, I went to my YW’s president’s house to help assemble stuff for Mutual tonight. Then I went to the writer’s workshop thing that’s every Tuesday night. Then, the next day, when I was about to post it, our electricity went out, so the laptop couldn’t connect to the computer. Then, I don’t have any good excuses for Thursday and Friday. I spaced it, I guess. But yesterday was busy too… I’ll post about it! Well, I think it’s safe to say that I was very busy this week!

Okay, so here’s some fun pictures of the airport. We ate at TGI Friday’s, and it was really good! I thought that I had taken a picture of my food, to thrill all of your minds, but apparently not. So, you’ll have to make due without photographic evidence of my mushroom and swiss burger… Sorry!

Isn’t that ceiling awesome? It was amazing how far down it went. I loved it =D

After we ate, we went through security, and sat down at our gate. Our plane was on time, but they had maintenance issues, so after 45 minutes, they switched us to a different gate, where we had to wait for 30 minutes. So, long story short: it took a really long time.

So, we got home, got stuck in ridiculously horrid traffic, ate dinner, escaped, and went home. Ah, it felt good to be back, even though I really enjoyed my 10-day visit, and I miss lots of things (the yogurt parfaits, the carrot cake, the big screen TV, my personal suite, the intercom (boy, was that fun!), the beautiful rain, the autumn weather and pretty tree colors, etc…)

Wow… I had a lot of fun =)

Visiting the Grand-Parental Units (part 1-The Visit)

So, as I’ve mentioned at various points, I went to Virginia! It was really fun, and REALLY beautiful with all the autumn colors.

There’s my stark-raving loony grandparents, who I love super much. They were really fun to roadtrip with, and there was much silliness. It was awesome!

I took a bunch of really random pictures (you want a picture of the steakhouse we ate at on the 2nd night? I’ve got it…), so I don’t have a lot of pictures of the super important stuff. I was too busy to think about the camera ;-)

It’s time… for the NaNo!

Hi all =)

So, I got back from my trip to Virginia, and I'll do a post on that soon. I need to be on the computer with the pictures first!

For the past few days, I've been having LOTS of fun, because NaNoWriMo started on the 1st! I'm at 2,856. According to the NaNo website, that's 7.14% of my 40,000 word goal. I'll get there someday! Tomorrow we're going to Wichita, Kansas, and so we'll be in the car... with a laptop! So, I'm hoping to get ahead with my word count. Woohoo! Unfortunately, the NaNo website has been running SOOOOOO slow, what with all the kids trying to go update their word counts... Sigh.

So, I thought that I’d post about one of my current obsessions/hobbies: making computer games. I use a really neat program, called RPG Maker XP. I’m currently working on a fun game called Rhydion’s Quest. It’s for my two BFFs, and their siblings. I thought that it’d be fun to post pictures! Yay!

Eh, so the pictures are a tad bit blurry. You see the overall awesomeness though, riiiiiight?! These pictures are in some of the various villages and cities, and such. It’s all super fun! I’m hoping to be done with it by mid-December, but NaNoWriMo is taking up a lot of time, so we’ll see how quickly I progress once it’s over.

Oh, well, I should go finish getting ready. We’re going shopping with my grandmama today, in preparation for our 2-day trip that begins tomorrow… More posts coming soon!

... Hi =)

So, I realized that I'd meant to post, like, a week ago. Buuuuut, I didn't. I've been super busy =)

We had lots of fun last Sunday, because my cousin, Emma, got baptized! It was super special, and really fun. A whole bunch of family came, and we had a big party. We had a dance the night before, and it was super cute. I'm the oldest of my cousins, and it was adorable seeing all the kiddos dancing. At some point through it, I began dancing with characters from books and movies. I'm not quite sure when that began, but it was a whole lot of fun =)

Anyways, on Monday, I left with my grandparents to visit them in Virginia. It took 3 days of driving, but we finally arrived! It's super fun here. Their house is pretty big, and I'm having fun wandering, reading, cooking, watching movies, and sewing. My grandma and I are flying back to my house on Thursday. I'll post some pictures when I get home and upload them.

Well, it's like 1, and I still haven't showered, so I'm gonna go do that =)

Once I get home and get ahold of my mom's laptop, I'll feature my BFF and her birthday. I just need pictures!

My Birthday Party + The Ensuing Silliness

So, I know it’s only been like, a couple of hours since I last posted. But, I have nothing else that I feel like doing =)

As I mentioned in my last post, I had my birthday party this last Friday. It was super fun!

Here’s the cake that I made and my mother decorated (complete with poo swirls… yeah). It was a layer of brownies, chocolate whipped cream, a layer of ice cream sandwiches, and then it was topped with more chocolate whipped cream. We had a bunch of toppings with it (caramel, hot fudge, choco-shell stuff, candy pieces, etc). It was so good!

I appear to have caught space madness. Wow, that’s really not an attractive shot. Wowza. Well, either way, it gives you a lovely view of the delicious toppings. **drool**

Ah, here is a lovely example of my friends. How we terrify each other on a daily basis. Give each other nightmares. Ah, feel the love?

I love opening presents. I try to figure out a way to wear everything I open. I’m quite talented that way. I like taking all the tissue paper, and stuffing it in the back of my shirt, so I’m a hunchback. It’s terrifying, and you should be afraid!

-here’s where their inner beauty shows. In my hand is my favorite present of the night: a gangster duck (rubber ducky decorated with Sharpies). I love my friends. They’re amazing. The fact that I asked my buds, Jessica and Erin, for a gangster duck, and they gave me one? Pure awesome.

In conclusion, I had an awesome time. I adore my friends, and I’m kinda thinking that I should have like, a Christmas party or something. Hmm…

Bwahahaha! Well... Er... So, I- hmm... I'm juggling a guinea pi- um... Huh. I guess I actually have to come up with something to write now. This is harder than I thought. I suppose it'll get easier.

Well, I'm happy now. It's getting nice outside! I really love autumn. It's so lovely to have it not be humid anymore! I'm looking forward to spending more time outside, especially since I can enjoy it with my two doggies. Yay!

This last Friday was my birthday party. It was awesome! I think I'll have to do another post for it. It was super fun though. I loved hanging out with all my amazing friends.

I'm super excited for next week. I get to go visit my grandparents. I'll definitely do a couple posts about it. Woohoo! I'm also excited for November. It happens to be National Novel Writing Month (NaNoWriMo), and I'm so psyched! I'm going to write 40,000 words. But, I've got it all planned out, and I'm having fun chatting with all my NaNo buddies =)

Hmm... Well, since I'm already rambling, I might as well continue the mindless babbling.

I've been listening to lots of Keane lately. I've gotten re-addicted. And this time around, I'm even more obsessed than before. I've been learning to play a few of their songs on the piano. It's so awesome!

Well, I guess I should actually go attend to those "real world" duties that everyone seems to care so much about.
