MEEEEEEEEE!

Welp. I’ve been tagged. There’s a lovely girl who’s blog I’ve been reading for a good while, and quite enjoy. So, here we are.

- State the rules

- Post 12 facts about yourself

- Answer the questions given to you by the person who tagged you

- Create 12 new questions for the people you tag

- Let them know that you tagged them

1. my favorite color combinations are gray + purple, and gray + pink.

2. I’m taking violin lessons

3. my favorite TV show is an English-subtitled Korean drama (called City Hunter)

4. every Friday night, my best friend comes over to watch movies with me before the new episode of Merlin comes on, which we then proceed to watch with much squealing. (no, seriously. Ask my mom. She will testify to the squealing.) It’s one of my favorite times of the week. It’s great fun to get to just hang out with Lissie, and it’s a nice start to the weekend.

5. I love playing dress up ^-^

6. I’m trying, and semi-succeeding in breaking my addiction to the internet.

7. I just made these cookies, and they were pretty tasty.

8. one of my favorite movies is Howl’s Moving Castle

9. I – alongside the youth in my ward – am currently trying to read the Book of Mormon in 40 days (by March 22nd, which is also our youth temple trip)

10. I am super sick of having curly hair, and really want to get it permed straight. I miss having bangs ;-; I also think I could manage straight hair in a far less voluminous manner than I did when I was 11 xD

11. I already have my tickets to the midnight premiere of the Hunger Games.

12. we’re hopefully going to repaint my room over spring break (from dark purple to bright turquoise-y blue)

  Brooklyn’s questions:

1. Which do you prefer: Chocolate milk or normal milk?

It depends. If I’m having it with food of any sort, I usually prefer normal milk. However, if I’m just drinking it for kicks, GIMME THE CHOCOLATE.

2. If you had a million dollars what would you spend it on?

A trip to England with my parents, and haul my best friend with me xD (you’re welcome, Liss)

3. What temple do you wish to get married in?

I’d love to get married in the Portland, Oregon temple, but the Dallas TX temple is more likely ;D I just think that the Portland temple is one of the prettiest temples there is.

4. What's your favorite memory of Elementary school?
Ooooooooooooooooooooor lack thereof. How do you mark the end of elementary school when you’re homeschooled?

5. Who's always been there for you?
My parents. And definitely my best friend, Lissie (at least for the last 6 and a half years, seeing as I didn’t know her before that…)

6. What's the weirdest thing that you do in your free time?
I sit around in my trench coat, plucking away on my violin, pretending to be Sherlock… srsly. It’s great fun! ^-^

7. What's your strange talent?
Uhhhmm… I have this fantastic laugh that I can do, that sounds like “NYAHAHA” and is basically just really beautiful. I use it all the time, mostly because it really amuses two of my best friends.

8. What's the place you've always wanted to go to but haven't?
ENGLAND. Actually, just the UK in general.

9. What did you think about as you were going to bed last night?
Midterms *panic attack*. And my historical drama that I’m writing.

10. What do you like to eat for breakfast?
I like a variety of things – baked oatmeal, banana bread waffles, omelet, etc.

11. What would your ideal date be like?
Getting all dressed up, cooking a home dinner together, before going out to a bookstore for the evening.

12. Who's your favorite celebrity?
Adam Young. He’s gorgeous, talented, and such a huge role model to me. Even though he’s been exposed to a fair amount of fame (most of you know him as, ‘the guy who sang that Fireflies song’), he is still a solid Christian, and very open about his beliefs. He is extremely inspiring to me!

  My questions:

1. What is one thing that truly scares you?

2. If you had to chose only one food to eat for a month, what would it be?

3. Who is your favorite literary character?

4. If you could be anyone for one day, who would you be?

5. Name someone who you really love, and why.

6. What is your favorite genre of music?

7. Do you like your handwriting?

8. What is your favorite dessert?

9.  What website do you spend the most time on?

10. What do you think is the most flattering compliment that someone could give?

11. What is your favorite sound?

12. Is there an event in 2012 that you are excited for? (you know – The Hobbit, end of the world, Kyrie’s 16th birthday…)

And I tag ALL OF Y’ALL. If you want to do it, proceed. Go right on ahead.

... /awkward silence

Oh, goodness, it's been just over a month since I posted.

Well... Christmas was fantastical!

I didn't get pictures of everything, but I got pictures of most of my favorites, so I might as well share them... /rambling

On Christmas Eve, we opened our presents. Highlights of the evening included the awesome owl scarf that my mum made me...

... and the sheet music to Owl City's most recent album, All Things Bright and Beautiful. Oh, boy, I squealed.

Then, on Christmas Day, we drove out to my aunt and uncle's house for the big family get-together, and I got more loot. Including an awesome lace parasol...

... as well as a Dalek alarm clock (which I have since named Soupy. Yes - Soupy), and the always epic Lord of the Rings PEZ set xD

Christmas was a lot of fun. I spent quite a bit of time in the car, but I like the car. Plus I got to sleep for a good amount of the car time, which was absolutely lovely ^_^ I had a blast over Christmas break - getting to sleep in, and watching all 3 seasons of Merlin in under a week. IT WAS EPIC.

I've been having fun getting back into school. I'm doing the same online American literature class that I was doing last semester, but I'm doing the live version now. Last semester, I just watched the recordings, but I decided pretty early on that I wanted to switch over to the live class. It's a lot more fun, and I'm getting a lot more out of it. It's on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. It's such a neat class! Our teacher is really awesome, and very obviously passionate about what he's teaching. Plus, I have some really awesome classmates. Today, we had the elections for class president, and we were all required to give a speech on why we should be president. It was absolutely hilarious! Mine was semi-serious, although I was mumbling like a giddy chipmunk through it, and I had fun promising them that if they voted for me, all of their wildest dreams would come true xD It's probably good I didn't win, because some of my classmates have really weird dreams...

I'm really excited by some of the story ideas that I've been having recently. They're all arguing for space in my brain, so I'm having to prioritize and jump around so I can maintain what little sanity I still have. Currently, I'm writing a fantasy novel, a steampunk novel, and about four different novellas/short stories, all while dealing with guilt over giving up/pausing the story that I was writing in November, which I completely lost interest in. It's all quite distracting, but I love every minute of it. I've been listening to a lot of my favorite instrumental music, Port Blue, to keep my imagination gliding. It's magical =3

We'll see how well I can keep my blog updated for the next while xD

TTFN!
