Now, some of you may have noticed the link on the side to the page ‘My Favorites’. If you haven’t, you make me sad. Either way, there, I have a list of my 5 favorite words, as well as lists of millions of other favorites. Well, I’m trying to post more often, whether it’s interesting to you or not. So, ha! I shall now explain to you why I love the following words:
1) Pulchritudinous
I love this word, because it means ‘beautiful’. It doesn’t sound like it, does it? So, I love using this word, and seeing people get confused. I’m using it in a complimentary manner, but it doesn’t sound very nice… So, tell your friends = their pulchritudinousness is threatening to blind you.
2) Cube
I blame Adam Young, of Owl City, for this one. In an interview, he shared that his favorite word was ‘cube’, because (and I quote): “… because, it makes me want to go to the kitchen. And open the fridge. And get an ice cube. And put it in my mouth…” The awesomeness of this simple word was then made apparent to me.
3) Psychedelic
My favorite descriptive term. I use it to describe everything. Well, I use ‘psychedelic’ and ‘epic’ both. Either way, my parents? Psychedelic. My BFF, Ruffles? Psychedelic. The hot dog I ate for dinner? PSYCHEDELIC! So, yeah.
4) Jujumagumbo
A word brilliantly invented by the main character of the show Psych, Shawn Spencer. It’s such a fun word. Ju-ju-ma-gumbo? A-M-A-Z-I-N-G! Have you seen the movie ‘The Emperor’s New Groove’? Well, your groove is basically the same thing as your jujumagumbo. “You threw off my [jujumagumbo]!”
5) Paradox
Ah, such a wonderful word. Not to mention, it’s such an awesome sci-fi concept. I LOVE IT! Fun to say, too!
Haha! I made an entire blog post out of my 5 favorite words, loved for their nonsensicalness. That’s what. xD
